“We met (virtually) in 2016, when I started working at a wedding planning company. We had a lot in common to talk about as he is a wedding photographer.
The more time we spent together, the more experiences we shared, the closer we got. In 2019, both of us were going through a very tough time after our individual breakups. I was so broken, and he was, too.
Soon, I realised that our stories and our lives started coming together. We got closer all this while and without even realising we fell in love. We began to really like each other in spite of meeting only twice. I had never experienced this before.
In June 2019, on his birthday, I finally decided to visit him and spend some quality time together. I had never been happier. My mom had an idea that we were dating. She asked me about where things are heading and if I’m ready to meet his parents. I talked to Avnish and quickly called his mother to a meet-up.
So, the D-Day came very soon. I was calming my nerves. But the things were unbelievably smooth. His parents were very warm and made me so comfortable. Everything fell into place.
Things took a turn on July 20th, when my parents met his parents and decided to get us married instead of a Roka. With only 14 days left for the wedding, we had so much to do! And we did it all. Those 14 days were insane!
Turns out, we did it exceptionally well. It was a beautiful intimate rustic wedding. I couldn’t believe- ‘Shaadi 14 days mein bhi plan ho sakti hai!?’
We find ourselves really lucky that we didn’t wait to get married else the pandemic would’ve killed our plans. We are grateful that we are spending our lockdowns together, and falling in love with each other more and more with every passing day.” said Nimisha Jain
