We exchanged numbers and that very night we talked to each other for about 6 hours and we didn’t want to end that call. We poured our hearts out and shared every life event. We fell in love on our first phone call.
Next day, he left for Kashmir. He had plans to come to my hometown, Dehradun but his grandpa got diagnosed with cancer and he had to leave for the US without meeting me.
We stayed in touch and he came back to India in 2 months just to meet me. Then, we started working together in Mangal Basti- a slum in Dehradun and started our Non-Profit Organization, ‘Teach Girls Educational Society’.
We taught young girls and devoted all our time to encourage them to learn the importance of education and become strong, well-informed women.
Meanwhile, our bond grew stronger and we knew we were inseparable. We got married in 2016. That year we did our first 20 days motor bike trip to Ladakh. It was magic. We felt alive and accomplished.
We keep learning something new about each other every day. We knew travel made us happy. We are now raising our son Zen exclusively outdoors because we believe ‘Mama Earth’ is the best healer!” said Misha
