According to UN Environment, if we continue using plastic like we do now, By 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fishes.

‘I am a 19 year old guy, just trying to make a effort to reduce plastic pollution in this world. Every year, about 8.8 million metric tonnes of plastic enter the oceans from land. According to UN Environment, if we continue using plastic like we do now, By 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fishes. During my summer internship, in a conference, I got to know about potential of Bamboo, which is an ideal and cheap alternative for the plastic and can be implemented in our daily lifestyles. Bamboo is the best chance we have of completely eradicating plastic. I started ‘The Shibamboo Store’ as I thought there was a lack of the bamboo items collectively available at a single store. I started this store with Rs 10000 that I earned from my internship and some other savings. Today, we have few varieties of products available at the best possible price.Through this initiative, I want to create a platform for the world to buy reusable Bamboo at the lowest possible price. Your decision to make a simple lifestyle switch can go a long way in paving the way for a greener future. It’s time to take a step back and look for alternatives to plastic based products, and bamboo is proving to be a solid answer.’ said Shivam
