‘My birth brought smiles to my entire family. At the age of 2 my hearing power gradually weakened and degraded. (more than 80 decibel) and within 6 months, the whole world became acoustically void for me. The void that couldn’t be filled.
At that time of extreme difficulty my parents’ love and faith in me, gave me the courage to move further.
I started my education at the Bajaj Institute of learning for deaf, Dehradun. I started enjoying studying with my differently abled friends. In class 7th, my principal Mrs. Anjali asked my parents to get me admitted in an inclusive setup for further Education.
Honestly, I was scared to be joining a regular school where all the students can speak and hear. Although I was apprehensive at first, but joining this Institution was one of best things I did. I made the most understanding friends. Although keeping up with academic requirements wasn’t always easy but I determined to do well in my CBSE 10th Board and even recieved a letter of Commendation from Mrs. Smriti Irani, the former HRD Minister of the country.
Apart from Academics, I also have a keen interest in drawing, photography and painting. I fortunately got an opportunity to play a lead role in the bollywood movie ‘The Silent Heroes’ and it was released worldwide on 11 December 2015.
After graduating from school, I scored 86.5% in 12th Board and secured a seat in Delhi University in 2017.Sure enough, I faced many challenges in life but I decided that I am never going to be satisfied with an easy life.’ said Tarun Bhargav
