‘My mother always taught me that  life is the best teacher anyone could ever have and she always gave me freedom to take my own decisions and make my own choices.
When I told my mother that I wanted to leave my job just after a month, she was so supportive of my decision, because she knew that I had hated that entire month of work. I told her that I wanted to do something else, but I wasn’t sure of what and I was worried. I vividly remember her saying, ‘At least you know what you don’t want to do, and that’s a start.’ I was so relieved after hearing those words from her.
I’ve learned a lot from my mother except one thing, self-control. I’m such a hoarder for everything, from shoes to bags to collecting paper bags and fancy notebooks and diaries. And my mother just says one thing, ‘Stop being a hoarder Sona’, and she knows that that’s something I can never do.
Every morning, right after getting out of bed, I go to her, she stands on an elevated floor (she is 5’3” and I am 5’9”!) and then we hug each other and say Hakuna-Matata and that’s our mantra of life.’ said Sonalika Bhadouria  @ Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh
